Dear Rebecca, rather than write you a quick text message or call, although I may still call, I wanted to write you a little letter. Now this is a bit off the top of my head because I've learned that it's good to not think too carefully and just focus on the things that are really important which are obvious. You've always been my person in a lot of ways. I have, I like to think, a good relationship, very very close loving relationship with all my siblings. You, like Naomi, are the only girl though, so without playing favorites I could say that you've always been so special and are so special to me. You understand the range and the spectrum, you know. I can talk to you about literally like details in some of my worst times like the divorce or, you know, recently when I had a decline, well not a decline, but just like push myself to a very hard point in the business to like really happy times. And I always tell the kids like you want to spend as much time with the people who are what you want to become, you know.

If you want to become somebody, you admire them, spend time with them, you'll start to just almost unconsciously pick up those things. And I really, Rebecca, I admire you in all sorts of ways. I love you very much and I just wish I could be around you more. Not totally selfishly so I could be more like you, although I think you have so many wonderful traits that I would mimic, but just because I love you. And it's one of those things that life moves quickly and I'm glad that I could always restart wherever we left off. And I'm so happy to have you in my life and I love you very much. I have no idea how old you are. I'm not sure how old I am. In fact, what year is it? Anyway, just kidding. I love you, Rebecca. Happy birthday.

With all my love,
David
